Telecom Audit Process

TEM is the industry abbreviation for Telecom Expense Management. In simple terms, it’s the management of all of your phone, internet and wireless bills and devices to control cost
Our audit can retroactively identify billing mistakes and errors and bring that money back in the form of check or credit. We also identify dormant or underused services, as well as cost savings opportunities for the future through market analysis, volume leveraging, consolidation, rate improvement and more.
We work primarily with fiscal executives because we are not looking to change your technology or pull any wires. We operate from a purely fiscal perspective and are simply looking to move more money to your bottom line. While IT may certainly be involved, it’s essential that we have buy in from the fiscal executives first.

We do! SpyGlass takes care of any implementation that you want us to handle. We even have a department of implementation experts who are very experienced at getting things done with providers who are difficult to deal with. You won’t have to spend a minute on the phone with your provider.

Submitting Documents

To initiate your audit, we need:

  • Your telecom billing from the most recent two-month period
  • Contracts that apply to the services outlined in your billing statements
  • One signed Letter of Agency
  • A list of all of your company's locations + how many employees are at each location
  • A copy of your internal phone directory, if applicable

Fee Structure

Our fee structure is 100% success-based with a fast, guaranteed ROI for our clients. In all cases, there is no obligation to move forward with any of our recommendations. If we don’t find a way to save you money or you don’t want to move forward with our recommendations, you won’t pay us.
Very simply, this is like having the fox watch the hen house. Your provider sales rep has NO financial incentive to help you clean up your bills. Lowering the amount of your bill actually lowers the sales commission they get paid related to your account. On the flip side, we ONLY get paid if we save you money.

Repeat Audits

No. While we do have many repeat clients, we typically wait a few years before doing this again. Business is fluid, as is the telecom industry, so it makes sense to have this done every few years. When we do repeat audits for our clients, our same success-based fee structure applies.
