Ed co-founded SpyGlass in 2002 to advise organizations in their quest to become more financially viable. Ed has a passion for consultative sales and is responsible for the growth and management of SpyGlass’ sales team. Ed brings experience in both business development and senior management consulting to the firm.
Prior to co-founding SpyGlass, Ed was a member of the Business Affairs and Development group for the media company AOL Time Warner and its affiliate company CompuServe. In this role, Ed was instrumental in structuring a variety of third-party relationships supporting the company’s interactive properties. Ed worked to establish interactive commerce and advertising relationships through which partners would promote their products, services and content to the company’s interactive subscribers. Ed also worked to establish many subscriber acquisition relationships through which partners assisted the company in acquiring subscribers for their online services (primarily, OEM, retailer and custom solution marketing relationships).
Prior to that, Ed served as a lawyer in the transactional corporate law group at Baker Hostetler LLP, a multi-national law firm. Ed advised and represented business owners and public and private companies in various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity transactions, real estate acquisitions and general corporate matters.
Ed graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law with his Juris Doctorate in 1995 and from Ohio University with Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting and MIS in 1992.
Ed resides in Westlake, Ohio with his wife and their three children. Ed is a member of Bay Presbyterian Church in Bay Village, Ohio, and supports various philanthropic organizations, including The Special Olympics, The Lake Erie Nature and Science Center and Providence House. Ed is an avid golfer and skier.
